Cindy and I have some important and big news for you today. Cindy and I will be stepping back from Triumphs and Trials. That being said we have a great origination to take our place. So stick around and we will fill you in how Cindy and I came to this decision and let you know all about UIRC the Infertility non profit that will be behind the scenes of Triumphs and Trials beginning March 16th.
Why we are making a change
The last 2 years have been a journey of healing for me. I have finally found peace with my family building journey. I feel beyond blessed to have two miracle daughters. I truly feel that with out all of your love and support we would not have had the amazing opportunity to adopt our daughter. I feel it was a blessing strait from heaven and it came through a few followers of Triumphs and Trials. Over the last several months I have felt that I am not relate-able to a lot of the infertility community. My journey through all of that hard and pain for the most part is over. I have felt that it is time for someone else to step in and take my place. Someone who is still waiting for their miracle. Someone that you can all relate to. I have spent many nights in prayer over what we should do and how to do it. We approached UIRC a few months ago and they were excited to be apart of this community and to take over. I am so glad UIRC Is ready and willing to continue on with the mission of helping share our individual Triumphs and trials and to spread some knowledge and understanding to everyone going through this trial of infertility and for those who care about us. UIRC has the capacity and manpower to do way more than Cindy and I can. We are excited to see what great things are in store for Triumphs and Trials.
Why did we choose UIRC?
Utah Infertility Resource Center provides education and emotional support to those who are struggling to grow their families so they are empowered, strengthened, and equipped to move forward on their respective journeys.
Utah Infertility Resource Center was founded by Camille Hawkins in September 2015.
In 2010, Camille was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and felt completely and utterly alone. She remembered seeing a Facebook post from a Jr. High acquaintance about her infertility journey. She reached out to an acquaintance, M’Recia Seegmiller, the only person she knew of who was facing the same issue, to see if M’Recia knew of any infertility support groups. M’Recia invited Camille to join the Utah Infertility Support Group —a online group dedicated to infertility support.
Through her involvement with the Utah Infertility Support Group, Camille formed a friendship with its creator, Aupera Van Huizen. In March 2014. Camille & Aupera partnered together to create the Salt Lake Infertility Support Group. This in-person group quickly grew into a wonderful network of support.
UIRC was started with people just like you and me
Over time, Camille continued to notice a gap in services for Utah’s infertility community.
Camille’s research showed that there had been groups and individuals who advocated for and attended to the needs of Utah’s infertility population in the past but the gap continued to exist because there was not a dedicated organization in Utah to provide direct support to those struggling with infertility, education for Utah’s infertility population as a whole, and to be an interface between organizations and people not associated with infertility. People just don’t know where to turn, and they need a safe place dedicated to helping them navigate their infertility journey. Camille knew this organization needed to exist.
Camille shared her idea to a few colleagues who were eager to join the cause. Each of them had experienced years of infertility, years of feeling alone, and knew they had to join together so that Utah can finally have the support, education, and awareness that those struggling with infertility desperately need. Days later, UIRC was officially created. They now have many services dedicated to those struggling to build their family and are proud to be fulfilling their dream of helping people all over get the support they need. This is just a little background, they have so much to offer. For more information check them out here. http://www.utahinfertilityresourcecenter.org
UIRC will be a great fit
I hope you can see that UIRC will be a great fit for Triumphs and Trials. The plan is that Cindy and I will each post one more article in the next week then starting March 16, UIRC will officially take over. Cindy and I are just stepping back not stepping out, we are still very passionate about the infertility community and you will still see things from us.
